SpamFilteredForms.com allows businesses and individuals to create email contact forms that are hosted on our servers, and are linked from the subscribers' sites. We allow businesses, organizations, families, and individuals to link from any site or page that they are allowed to place links on, including social networking sites.
Other than placing the link itself, no knowledge of coding is required. All of the filtering is done server-side.
Once the contact form is created and linked, visitors enter their information and submit it just like they would any other contact form. There are no silly questions, hard-to-read CAPTCHA images, math problems, or other inconvenient hoops for users to jump through. All of the filtering is done server-side and is invisible to visitors.
Messages that pass all the tests are sent to an email address of the subscriber's choice in less than a second. But behind the scenes, our crew of tireless robots examine every message, using proprietary algorithms to look for signs of spamminess. Our algorithms examine both the content of messages and the behavior of the submitter. Because of this multi-tiered approach, our algorithms are very difficult for spammers to defeat.
Our spam-filtering technology has a very low rate of false positives. But because even the most advanced anti-spam filters can make mistakes, we offer subscribers three options for handling messages determined to be spammy:
The recommended option is to designate two addresses for mail delivery. The primary address will be used only for mail that passes all the tests. Messages determined to be spam will be sent to the second address. This option helps prevent lost business from false positives, but it may also result in the "spam address" receiving hundreds or thousands of spam emails every month.
The second option is to use only one address, but to allow our mailer robot to re-write the subject line of spammy emails by adding *SFF* to the subject line. Subscribers can then build a filter in their email client, if they wish, that places mail tagged with *SFF* in a special folder.
The third (and non-recommended) option is to simply discard spammy emails. This method reduces the number of spammy messages you have to weed through, but may result in legitimate messages being falsely identified as spam and permanently deleted. Once discarded, messages cannot be recovered by any means. We do not keep copies on our server. The messages will simply cease to exist. Only choose this option if you really, truly don't care about losing messages that are incorrectly labeled as spam.
For now, Spam-Filtered Forms is a free, ad-supported service, and we plan to continue offering it as such. We're also also considering offering paid plans that will remove the advertisements and offer additional features and configuration options, as well as a service that will allow third-party sites to seamlessly integrate our forms onto their own pages.
